Hot Stuff was sold and sadly doesn’t exist anymore. He helps me when he can, but our lives change at an instant. Mama Stuff, is now my tractor! I have competed for 4 years now! And I finally feel the real passion Mike had when you hook up to a track and soar I know that! But Dawson, missed Grandpa too much he finished the season and made it another but has parked LiLStuff and gone onto baseball. Several weeks later I made the decision to purchase a 4 cyl tractor that was for sale in our DGTPers group. Dawson, won his first pull the day after Mike’s funeral! Grandpa, pushing him all the way. God had other plans, so now Mike coaches us from heaven. Mike had a heart attack at one of Dawson’s pulls.
Dawson, was also doing great with his tractor. Hot Stuff was reborn! Mike piloted it with great finesse.
In the mean time Mike took the plunge and bought a Twin Allison tractor know as P38, owned by a dear friend, who had passed away, Dick Ziegler. Our Grandson, wanted to take his lawnmower to an area pull, at the ripe age of 4! Well that started the bug up again, and before you know it, Dawson, was competing with a Hot Stock tractor, named LiL Stuff. She got boxed up and sent to New York, then to its new owner in Finland.īut we weren’t done yet. He took “Hot Stuff” to his motor mentor, Wayne Longnecker, in Iowa. He did well with her and it was a great journey, which ended when he decided to sell it. His first tractor, “Hot Stuff,” a single Allison Aircraft tractor. The NTPA will be back at it for night number two at the final day of the 100th Anniversary of the Ionia Free Fair, with pulls beginning at 7 p.m. Trowbridge ended his run with some quick brakes so he wouldn’t run into the wall and damage not only his tractor but the spectators as well.Īs dusk hit, just one class remained, with two semi-trucks ready to pull.īoth out of Minnesota, it was the second pull of 344-feet by Pat Ellen driving Just Passin Thru in Class out of Hampton, Minnesota that beat out Dean Holicky driving Mother Trucker from Montgomery, Minnesota. He had a great line but as he started getting a little further down the line, was nearing the wall that separates him and the crowd. His partner, Disturbed, driven by Robert Trowbridge, also out of South Haven, didn’t have a great pull either. Luckily, Broughton got out of his tractor quickly as the flames were extinguished. His tractor burst into flames in the middle of his pull.
#TRACTOR PULLS 2015 DRIVER#
The six driver was Sid Broughton out of South Haven, Michigan and driving Desperado started off great for the first 50-yards or so. His partner, GALOT (Get A Load Of This) pulled first and just over 314-feet, out of Hamilton, Ohio. It was the second tractor that ended up winning it all.Ī John Strickland driven GALOT II (Get A Load Of That) won the pull with 344-feet and some change out of Clinton, North Carolina. It featured just six tractors from Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Michigan. In the third class, the Super Stock Open brought an incredible pull and a fire on a tractor. A few tractors in this class broke down, some with engine failures, one with a busted wheel and another with a broken crank.
